I think that the hollow spot looks better. It all depends on ho dark you want the model to look at the end. If you're going for a light model then the hollow works better. Also I think the dark spot would work better either larger or smaller, as again you lose a lot of the light colour. Looking very cool though so far.
I'm with Courtney; hollow is better. You might want to lighten up on the "frame" though. Either use a lighter color, or a thinner line. Smaller shapes might also be an option.
Have you tried the outline with a lighter colour inside? By the way, this is an interesting and effective approach: http://krieggenetorium.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteLooks good so far.
Hollow looks best. full spots make it look like a cheetah or another hunting cat. it also makes it way too dark.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome.

I prefer the solid pattern, the hollow one looks half done for me. Either way, can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the good Col. on this one. Solid pattern is much better looking.
ReplyDeleteHollow is the way I'd go, the Solid will make it too dark
